Description:
Bike was built up for two rides at the local mountain. Rides as new, has two spots where cable rub wore into the paint, other than that there are no other scratches or blemishes. The Sinister R9 is the most recent frame design hand built by "Frank the Welder". Frame with shock retails for over $2500 not including Hussefelt cranks, FSA BB and MRP chain guide. The R9 is Sinister's flagship gravity racer. The nine-inch travel frameset is built to meet the demands of downhill racing excelling on the steep and difficult terrain found on todays toughest course. With a single pivot swingarm with linkage operated coil shock and a highly efficiency wheel path, the R9 has a progressive shock geometry and roomy rider ergonomics. Made 100% in the USA from 6061 series aluminum, the R9 utilizes a 9.5x3.0-inch stroke rear shock (various shock options are available). The frame is built for the new breed of eight-inch travel downhill forks, but it can handle forks up to 12 inches long. Tire clearance is a healthy 2.8 on a 26-inch rim or a 3.0 on a 24-inch rim.New Standout features include: • An oversized 1.125 headtube compatible with deep press headsets • Single pivot linkage suspension system • Sealed bearings at all pivot points and 12mm thru axle to keep the rear end flex and maintenance free • Welded one piece rocker offers 3 leverage adjustments • Integrated rubber fork bump stops • Remote shock reservoir mount for Avalanche and other reservoir shocks
